Weaving
Firstly we had to cut 10x 30cm strips out of the wool as shown below... Then we learnt the names of the directions that the loom makes cloth, (a loom is the device which weaves cloth) the warp goes up and down and the weft goes from left to right, we then had to post the wool through the pegs and stand the pegs into the peg board. When we had completed this we were then told we had to tie the ends of the wool, the first 3 of the 10 together then the middle 6 you tie in 2s and the last 3 you tie together... After that we had to interlock a seperste piece of wool and weave it in and out of inbetween the pegs. You can then start to use different colours and make the fabric 2 colours as shown below...To finnish pull the pegs up through the bottom of the weave and let the thread hang loose out of the top... For the last step cut the thread right next to the eye of the peg then tie the ends just as you did at the very start. After the ends are tied you can stretch the weave back out so it isnt all clumped into one little ball. The image above is the end product.
